Welcome to the Topsail Island Fall Surf Fishing Challenge, a brand-new event that Fisherman’s Post is proud to be bringing to the island’s beachfront this October. Pleasure Island Fall Surf Fishing Challenge
October 16 - 18, 2015
Fisherman’s Post is excited to return to the shores of Carolina, Kure, and Fort Fisher to shine the spotlight on the island’s superb fall surf fishing with the Eighth Annual Pleasure Island Fall Surf Fishing Challenge. Attracting nearly 500 anglers last year, the event is the largest surf fishing contest outside NC’s Outer Banks, and the catches, stories, and camaraderie we’ve seen, heard, and felt in the past seven years have us motivated to return and make this the best year yet. The basic format of the event remains the same—a 36-hour fishing marathon lasting from midnight on Friday, October 16, to noon on Sunday, October 18. Click here for additional information.

Valentine's Day Cruise of Love
February 14, 2015
This year for Valentine's Day, try something new– unless you came with us last year, in which case it's best not to mix it up too much. Give the gift your lover will appreciate more than diamonds or jewelry or chocolates. Give the gift of pristine waters lapping gently at the hull, of shorebirds calling to each other, of dolphins cascading through the waterways surrounding Wrightsville Beach, and of the uncorrupted natural beauty, the golden amber and cerulean hues of the Carolina low country in winter. On Saturday, February 14th (Valentine's Day), at 11 a.m., we are excited to offer a free cruise to the first 7 couples married 40 years or more. For couples without that kind of matrimonial longevity, we'll also be leaving the dock hourly from 12 noon - 4PM., with a special 4:30 Sunset Romance cruise. Each cruise is only $50 per couple, with complimentary chocolate and soft beverages provided by the crew. Reservations required. Call Capt. Joe at (910) 200-4002 to reserve your seat today!
